Introduction
Nerves and vessels leave (or enter) the eye through the optic disc. This structure is comprised of numerous quantifiable anatomical structures, which can be viewed through a dilated pupil. The genes underlying the many diseases, which affect the optic disc, may be identified through investigating its chief heritable components. The aim of this study is to determine the priority of optic disc features to be quantified for future investigation of underlying genes.
